The district appreciates the Florida Department of Education’s recognition of the concerns and challenges expressed to them regarding the quality, length, and technological problems experienced. In addition to staff daily communication of the past few weeks, yesterday, I also had the opportunity to speak with Commissioner Stuart to express our concerns.  We appreciate the sincere efforts of the students, teachers, administrators, and district staff that worked to administer the FAIR assessment to this point.  The difficulty experienced is why the Superintendents, last year, requested a multi-year roll out of the new assessment and accountability plan.”
