The 17th Annual Laws of Life Awards Banquet was held last evening at the Hilton Naples, where 16 finalists were honored and the winners were announced.  The first place winner in each category delivered her speech to a distinguished gathering that included city and county officials, school district administrators, principals, teachers, and family members.  This year, elementary and middle school students focused on the “courage” character trait, while high school writers chose from any of the 12 “laws of life” – citizenship, cooperation, courage, fairness, honesty, kindness, patriotism, perseverance, respect, responsibility, self-control, and tolerance.  Congratulations to the winners and finalists.
