SABAL PALM ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
SHOWCASE DANCE SKILLS
February 11, 2013
“…5, 6, 7, 8…” No, this isn’t a math counting lesson. It’s dance time! Sabal Palm Elementary (SPE) students are polishing their dance shoes for their first ever “Schools That Rock” Dance Celebration at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday (February 12) at the school (4095 18th Avenue NE).
This dance showcase is the grand finale performance for students who took part in The World Dance Arts Foundation program at the school during the past few weeks, taught by Molly Cooks during SPE physical education (PE) classes. For three weeks during their PE classes, students learned the steps for Swing, Waltz, and the Merengue – all of which will be demonstrated during this evening Dance Celebration.
The public is invited to attend this free student dance demonstration – the bigger the audience, the more excited the students will get to show off their new dance moves.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
