Do you like to work with your hands? Like taking things apart and rebuilding? How about working with mechanical equipment? If so, and you happen to be looking for a new employment direction, Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology (LWIT) has something just for you – Foundations of Machining.
This new 3-week, 84-hour course, is set to start on Wednesday, July 11th, and run until Thursday, August 2nd (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday) at the LWIT campus located at 3702 Estey Avenue.
The course will prepare you with the skills needed for an Entry Level Machine Operator position at most area manufacturing facilities. And the job opportunities are already available! LWIT’s Foundations of Machining program is offered in collaboration with area employers, such as Arthrex, Inc., among others.
Individuals interested in this new LWIT program must have a high school diploma or equivalent to enroll. Financial assistance is available for eligible students.
