About

  • The Digital Media/ Multimedia Design program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Arts, A/V Technology and Communication career cluster. Students will learn professional applications for many programs, including Adobe and digital video editing.

    The Digital Media/Multimedia Design program focuses on the principles and elements of creative visual design and the promotional marketing advertisement of a business brand. Students will create stunning multimedia presentations highlighting their own unique brand in a portfolio collection. The portfolio will display the student’s logo brand in a variety of projects which include print design, web design, videography, motion graphics and animation, audio recording and editing, and traditional and social media marketing.

What You'll Learn

  • Students will work with a broad range of media tools including Adobe digital design software and industry level studio equipment to produce conceptual, technical, and professional presentations of their brand. Students will understand freelance design and how to market their products and services through their own professional website. Students will gain industry knowledge and achieve industry level Adobe certifications.

    Portfolio:

    Digital Media/Multimedia Design students will prepare an online and printed portfolio highlighting a variety of multimedia projects of the skills they learned, in order to prepare them for a challenging career, and a showcase of certifications earned. Portfolios will include  PrintVideo, Motion Graphics and Web projects. Students also create a professional resume and letter of application.

    There are a variety of projects within the 4 Occupational Completion Points. Students will need to complete all of the projects in order to satisfy the curriculum requirements for this course.
